​Widen your aerating options with Toro’s ProCore 1298

The highly productive Toro ProCore 1298 wide area aerator is ideal for any form of turf management, from amenity and sports to formal and golf.

Designed to work at depths of up to 100mm, but more suitable for work within the 25mm to 75mm range, the 1298 is perfect for use from spring to late autumn. The model can be fitted with a range of genuine Toro tines for different applications, which are renowned for their longevity, durability and ability to deliver immaculate holes for best compaction relief and drainage.

A 98-inch working width means this model is capable of covering a huge amount of ground. The 1298 can deliver holes spaced at a tight 25mm at a rate in excess of 2000m2 per hour and, by increasing the hole spacing and tractor speed, this machine could potentially cover an impressive 9000m2 or more per hour. Picture that, you could aerate a full-size football pitch or 18 golf greens in an hour!

But opting for a wider, tractor-drawn aerator doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice quality for productivity. Thanks to the design of the ProCore’s turf retainer and its ability to follow contours, the results it delivers are as good as narrower tractor-drawn aerators or dedicated pedestrian models.

While its results are noticeable, you’ll be hard pressed to spot where the ProCore 1298 has been put to work. A key feature of this aerator, and the entire ProCore range, is they leave a clean, even finish, keeping surface disturbance at a bare minimum.

Plus with the 1298’s standard three-bolt clamp tine holder, it’s easy to swap tines or adjust their working depth. But for those maintaining a wide variety of turfed areas requiring different tines there is the option to fit a QuickChange holder to the 1298, which uses a simple socket system to allow even faster tine fitting and removal.
