Versatile Wiedenmann kit with options that tailor to specific needs
Not only is Wiedenmann UK’s sweeper, blower, collector offering hugely versatile, it comes with brilliant options which allow users to tailor a perfect specification.
Take for instance the noise-to-a-minimum Wiedenmann Mega Twister blower. Incredibly manoeuvrable, with 230° of swivel, it blows a mighty 390 m³ per minute, making a significant impact to collecting and efficient work management. It has two add-on features – firstly, an easily attached goose neck spout so the wind nozzle can be set parallel to the floor, the alternative position optimising output. Secondly, it can have an electrical operation to the nozzle. This allows tractors with just one double spool valve to operate the “left to right” swivel action hydraulically and the “up and down” motion via an electric ram thus not requiring a second hydraulic service.
Wiedenmann’s Super 600 three-in-one flail mower, collector and verticutter instantly suits those with tricky terrain. The massive 4500 litre tank takes a long time to fill. Its sister model, the Super 500, also boasts a very respectable 2500 litres. The 2.1 metre high dump facility comes as standard to both and has infinitely variable settings, allowing easy tipping into bins and trailers.
Two optional kits are available post-purchase. The golf course kit fits to the front roller and replaces the two tyres, enabling the multi-function head to follow the contours more accurately while the super contour kit assists those with deep ridges and furrows. An additional back roller with additional anti scalp rollers fits inside the rotor drum brings the anti- scalp wheels even closer to the centre of the rotor drum.
Indeed, both the Super 500 and 600 are ever popular among contractors, estates managers and golf course managers, working in all temperatures, even on frosty days. The container lifts via a parallel system, with the hopper rotating, allowing the hopper to completely discharge collected material. Leaves, clippings and debris are vacuum packed in to their huge tanks thanks to high airflow. Four large low-pressure tyres minimise any turf footprint while the parallelogram guided sweeper head ensures that implements maintain an optimal working position at all times. This is a key safety advantage as its floating head ensures a clean pass over undulating ground.
A dethatching and scarifying unit is available with verticut blades that can be spaced 19mm, 38mm and 57mm centres. Further options are Durablades™, Wiedenmann’s strongest ever blade, made of tungsten steel plus rear road lights for early morning or late night use.
