STIHL launches two powerful new battery-powered machines for autumn work - a handheld blower and a vacuum shredder
STIHL has launched a new battery-powered blower and a vacuum shredder, offering professional users an improved standard of performance and efficiency as autumn work begins.
Thanks to the constant power output technology, the BGA 250 blower offers 100% power as the battery discharges, making it the world’s most powerful handheld battery-powered blower throughout the full battery charge.
Weighing only 2.7kg, the BGA 250 is lighter than its BGA 86 counterpart and boasts a significantly higher maximum blowing output of 26 newtons. The battery is located inside the BGA 250, meaning the blower is practical for smaller clearing jobs that require high power.
The maximum blowing force can be selected via the intuitive speed level controls, allowing for efficient energy management and longer working times. Boost mode may also be selected to provide maximum power for the toughest clearing jobs. Furthermore, the new blower features an LED power display and a cruise control function to maximise battery use.
In addition to excellent performance, the BGA 250 features an improved battery location directly under the handle, which not only gives the blower perfect balance, but also improves the manoeuvrability of the machine thanks to its shortened design. The BGA 250 also features a nozzle with a shallow bend which directs the ‘push back’ force through the handle, ensuring the blower stays in place during operation with no wrist strain.
Furthermore, STIHL has extended its AP System with the introduction of the new SHA 140, a dedicated battery-powered vacuum shredder. Designed for professionals, this vacuum shredder is the most powerful in its lineup and has a robust build, as well as 15% more suction power than the petrol SH 86, making it ideal for the leaf-clearing season.
The 55l catcher bag has been developed with robustness in mind, featuring metal buckle openings and a ventilation opening to ensure optimum air flow and collection. A metal shredder blade ensures leaves are mulched, further helping to fill the bag and reducing the likelihood of clogging.
The large, rubberised handles of the SHA 140 have been positioned for greater comfort, allowing the operator to work quickly with no back or arm strain. Easy transport and storage have also been considered, with the fast and tool free removal of the catcher bag and suction tube making dismantling the tool effortless.
