PSP brings Guarany’s range to the UK's fight against Covid-19

With increased demand for disinfecting, sanitising and cleaning equipment due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Professional Sprayers People (PSP) are bringing a World Health Organisation-approved range of environmental health sprayers to the UK.

PSP last year signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Brazil’s Guarany for its range of professional sprayers, focusing on those products which fall under Guarany’s agricultural products division.

However, Guarany are also a leading supplier of environmental health equipment and it is these products which have come increasingly under the spotlight in the battle against Covid-19.

The range includes the Super 2S stainless steel compression sprayers which were developed in conjunction with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to combat the spread of vector borne diseases such as malaria as well as for disinfecting against tropical diseases.

These are designed to withstand the use of harsh and corrosive chemicals due to their robust construction and to ensure operator safety. The compression design rather means the operator has a hand free rather than having to pump continuously.

The range also features the Cold Fill Nebuliser, the 12L Pro Health Backpack Sprayer, the Knapsack Nebuliser and the powerful Thermal Fogger. All of the range are used extensively in Africa and South America.

Says PSP director Ivan Zytynski: “Disinfecting and sanitising surfaces and equipment is obviously a key component in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Guarany have long been experts in this field and we are pleased to be able to bring this expertise and these proven products to the UK.

“There is still debate as to whether the virus can be airborne but, if tests find that this is the case, equipment such as foggers and misters are going to be key for general use, not just in hospitals and healthcare facilities.

“Countries such as Brazil are already using these sorts of products extensively to disinfect public spaces, inside and out.”
