MAKITA XGT: THE POWER PROFESSIONALS NEED
Landscape professionals require high performance machines and tools to meet the daily demands of the job. Traditionally, the only option for heavy-duty tasks was petrol power. However, Makita’s XGT 40VMax and 80VMax cordless machines provide the required performance to tackle high drain, high demand tasks safely and efficiently, simply by switching the battery.
Makita XGT
XGT is Makita’s most powerful cordless platform and provides users with the high levels of performance needed, without compromising on battery run time or charge time. Each tool is engineered with built-in programming, that provides digital communication between the battery and the tool, so that both work together for optimum performance and sustained power. As such XGT 40VMax and 80VMax machines can easily match the performance of the equivalent petrol products without the noise, emissions or challenges of storing, transporting and handling fuel.
Makita’s XGT range now comprises over 100 machines including more than 40 garden and grounds maintenance models which includes blowers, pole saws, hedge trimmers, brush cutters, linetrimmers and lawnmowers. The range also includes 40VMax and 80VMax tools for hard landscaping tasks including circular and mitre saws, impact drivers, earth augers and its recently launched disc cutters – the 40VMax CE003G XGT Disc Cutter and 40VMax CE004G XGT Disc Cutter.
CE003G and CE004G XGT 40VMax Disc Cutters
These hard hitting, yet remarkably lightweight machines deliver massive cutting depths and rapid cutting speeds – The CE003G providing up to 88mm at 6,600rpm and the CE004G 121mm at 5,000rpm. With a 230mm and 305mm blade diameter respectively, these compact XGT disc cutters offer a powerful package to tackle slabs, masonry and stone with ease.
Operators can connect a water supply to aid dust suppression, and the anti-vibration housing with built-in damper spring helps to achieve an extremely low vibration rate for each at 3.0 m/s2 (CE003G) and 3.8 m/s2 (CE004G) at the left handle – far less than their petrol-powered counterparts. Also, unlike petrol engine models, the machines start reliably, even in oxygen-deficient conditions, without any emissions or exhaust gases, making them suitable for use in any location – including indoors and underground when used with dust suppression.
